Anchor Stool
Anchor is a stool with the density of intent. Tania builds each from thick European walnut laminated into a single solid block, then carves a shallow saddle into the top by hand so the seat cups slightly where you sit. It works equally as a low seat, a step to a high shelf, or a surface beside a bath. The legs are not legs at all but a carved-away undercut, so the block appears to stand on a thinner block of itself. Heavy enough to stay exactly where it is put. Made in an edition of twelve, each numbered, hand-oiled, signed underneath. The most useful object in the room.
