Relief Wall Object
Relief is furniture only in the sense that it hangs where a picture would and rewards the same slow looking. Tania Fiuzie carves a 60 × 90 cm panel of her own Persian walnut — Juglans regia, from her documented family reserve, lawful and fully traceable — into a low topography of ridges and hollows that catch light differently through the day, so the surface seems to move while standing still. The carving follows the grain rather than fighting it, so the tool marks and the figure become one texture. Left unpainted; the only colour is the wood's own reddish depth. An edition of eight, each carved uniquely, hand-oiled, signed and numbered on the reverse.
