A full-length, open-front kaftan woven flat on Homa's loom in undyed cotton-linen, then finished by hand with a long fringed trim run along both front edges, the hem, and the deep set-in sleeves — the same fringing hand she uses on the Kilim Kavir pieces, worked here into a plant fibre instead of wool. Cut wide and unstructured, meant to be belted at the waist over a slip dress or left open over bare layers, with enough fabric in the sleeves to catch the wind rather than fight it. Undyed top to bottom, so the piece ages toward the colour of the sand it is worn in rather than away from it.
