Reza Ostad photographs at the specific hour when the sky can no longer decide between industrial light and natural light — refinery flares, sodium streetlamps, and the last blue of dusk all competing for the same frame. He shoots on location at plants and transit corridors he has scouted for years, working fast in the narrow window before the color balance shifts, and prints large so the flare and the horizon read at roughly true scale. The images don't editorialize the sites; he frames them the way an engineer would, straight-on and level, and lets the collision of light sources do the work. His photographs reach ATG through a screened export partner in Iran who manages permits, printing, and shipping for his work.
