Niloofar Sadeghi
Niloofar Sadeghi worked six years as a structural engineer, inspecting load paths in unfinished apartment blocks, before enrolling in a weaving atelier in Isfahan at twenty-nine. The engineering training never left her practice: she calculates tension the way she once calculated stress on a beam, hand-dyeing wool with pomegranate skin and walnut husk, then pulling it against a steel-thread warp until the surface buckles at a point she has already mapped. Nothing in her wall pieces buckles by accident — she models the failure point on paper first, then builds the loom setup to produce it. The result reads as damage from across a room and as engineering up close. Her work reaches ATG through a screened export partner.
